By North East India we refer to the seven states commonly known as the “Seven Sisters”. They are Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura. Before Independence this entire area was known as Assam Province. The region is also known as the land of seven sisters. The states are famous for their scenic beauty and have many other tourists attractions where one can witness the beauty of a poet’s dream.
