Nagaland Tribal TourThe Konyak tribe is one of the major tribes of Nagaland. They inhabit Mon district which is in the northern most part of Nagaland. Mon town is the main headquarter of the district, which is 354kms away from Kohima, the capital of Nagaland and 294kms away from Dimapur, which is connected to the other Indian metros by air and railways. The nearest airport to Mon is Jorhat (147kms) and Dibrugarh (283kms) connected by major flights and trains from New Delhi, Kolkata and Guwahati.
Upon arrival at Guwahati, drive to Tezpur.
Next morning visit museum, emporium and local market. After lunch drive to Ziro, the headquarters for lower Sabunsiri district of Arunachal Pradesh surrounded by Apatani tribal villages.
Next morning drive to Daporijo. Enroute visit Apatani villages. Daporijo is the headquarter of the Upper Subansri district of Arunachal Pradesh is an inhabitant of Tagin tribe. Enroute you visit Hillmiri tribal villages at Raga.
Along headquarter of West Saing district of Arunachal Pradesh located at an altitude of 300m inhabitants of Adi (Gallong) tribes. Adi has different sub tribe which differ from each others like Adi (Gallong, minyong, pasi, padam, Bori, and Boker) , if you visit far inside this places you will find all these tribes, but in along you will find only Adi (Gallong) tribal people. You can have visit of Jirdin, Kabu, Kaying villages, others interesting to see is a hanging bridge on the Siang river, local made of cane and bamboo bridge around 60 to 70m long connecting to the others hill tribes, fishing are the sports for these tribe.
Visit Pasighat the headquarter of East Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh located at an altitude of 150m, inhabitants of Adi(Minyong) tribe. Enroute you can have visit of Pangin tribal villages, all along Siang river, the areas are good for adventure sports like river rafting, angling and trekking.
Cross the river Brahamaputra by country made ferry which take 5 to 6 hrs in the Brahamaputra River to reach Dibrugarh. Drive to Jorhat and stay overnight.
Visit Mokokchung and view the surrounding hills and valley and the Ungma village, oldest and biggest Ao village. This village is many centuries old and can be of great interest to people who have a desire to peep into Ao folklore custom and tradition.
You visit Kohima village (Bara Basti), one of the most populous tribal village in Asia. The Khonoma village has its own traditions of valour and courage. The Khonoma gate tells the story of the British infiltration into Naga hill. And the World War II cemetery, museum, emporium and local market are the exclusive experience for the new visitors.
Stay overnight at the hotel.
Next day board the connecting flight for calcutta/Delhi or in case of cancellation of the flight schedule, because sector is unreliable at any time its changes/cancel the flight.
Next day proceed for Tezpur. Upon arrival check in at the hotel for overnight stay.
Next day proceed to Guwahati airport to board the connecting flight for Delhi.
