Jodhpur
Jodhpur is the second biggest city of Rajasthan. It was capital of the Marwar State and it is the border of Thar Desert. Jodhpur was founded by ruler of the Rathore clan, Rao Jodha in1459 AD. Jodhpur is situated about 335 Km western from the Jaipur and 210 Km from the Ajmer.
There are all homes painted in blue color thus the Jodhpur city also known as Blue city. It is also known as Sun City. Jodhpur is famous for tourist destinations, such as forts, temples, palaces, and much more. Some attractions are located in the stark countryside of Thar Desert.

Mehrangarh Fort
Mehrangarh Fort was built in 1806 AD. Mehrangarh Fort is one of the best and mainly difficult forts in India; Mehrangarh fort plainly means "Majestic Fort” and it is situated at the centre of the Jodhpur. Wonderful Mehrangarh fort is situated on a vertical 125 meters high hill; spread over 5 square KM. The fort has seven entrance gates. It also has a wonderful and big museum. There are several places in the fort, which include Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, and Shish Mahal.
Umaid Bhawan Palace
Umaid Bhawan Palace is situated at 2 Km south-east of the Jodhpur city at the peak of a hill and it is a single chief landmark of Jodhpur city. This palace specially made by Maharaja Umaid Singh in 1929 as a want relief scheme. With the remarkable rose stonework and sandstone, the palace was built among 1923 and 1940, provided employments for almost 3,000 famine-stricken people. This is now converted to a popular hotel and it also has a Museum.
Jaswant Thada
Jaswant Thada was built in 1899 AD in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh second (1878-1895), a popular ruler of Jodhpur. It is construction using white marble. The Nineteen century majestic cenotaph of Jaswant Thada is situated northern side of the Mehrangarh Fort.
Other famous attraction points in the Jodhpur are- Mahamandir Temple, Mandore Gardens, Balsamand Lake and Palace, Clock Tower, Sardar Market, Ganesh Temple, Rai-ka-Bag Palace, Raj Ranchhodji Temple, Siddhnath, and much more.
