Kerala Wildlife TourIf there is one place in the riveting diversity of India where there is tangible beauty and a phenomenal thing like total literacy, it is in Kerala. Kerala is full of good things. This small State in the southern tip of the Indian peninsula is an easy winner owning to its great mind-blowing landscape and infinity of intriguing customs, high-intensity cultural life and educated public so often dressed in white. From Kasargode to Thiruvananthapuram Kerala is choc-a-bloc with places that attract tourists and travelers from all over the world.
Upon arrival at Cochin/Kochi our representative will meet you and transfer to your hotel. It will follow a half-day sight seeing of Cochin by boat. The sightseeing at Cochin includes the Chinese fishing nets along the Vasco Da Gama Square, Santa Cruz Basilica, St. Francis Church, VOC Gate, Bastion Bungalow etc. Overnight stay will be at hotel.
After breakfast you will proceed to Munnar enjoying the scenic beauty and the wonderful waterfalls, high mountains with low flying clouds passing by. In the evening you will go for a sight seeing of Munnar, which includes the Raja Malai peak to spot the Nilgiri Thar (mountain goats). Munnar hill station, located at an altitude of 1600 m above sea level, was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British government in South India. You can see sprawling tea plantations and winding lanes. Overnight stay will be at hotel/resort.
After breakfast you will explore the tea plantations, Anamudi peak, Eravikulam National Park, Devikulam, Mattupetty, Pallivasal, Pothamedu, Attukal etc. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay will be at hotel/resort in Munnar.
After breakfast we will drive you to Periyar visiting Idukki dam on the way. Upon arrival at Periyar you will check in at hotel. Periyar is well known for its wildlife sanctuary, which is home to nomadic tribes of wild elephant, deer, boar, and the great Indian tiger. In the evening you will go for boat cruise in the Periyar Lake to watch wild animals. Overnight stay will be at Periyar.
After breakfast in the morning you will be taken for boating through the Periyar Lake/Wildlife sanctuary. Here, you can spot the rare species of plants and animals. In the afternoon we will tour the spice plantations like cardamom, cinnamon, pepper and coffee and tea estates. On your way back to the hotel/resort, you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices as souvenir. Overnight stay will be at hotel/resort in Periyar.
Early in the morning you will proceed to Kumarakom, another beautiful travel destination in Kerala. Upon arrival at Kumarakom, you will visit the Bird Sanctuary and later proceed to the Vembanand Lake. Kumarakom and nearby areas are known for their exotic backwaters found nowhere else in the world. Backwaters are a network of lakes, canals and estuaries and deltas that drain into the Arabian Sea. Overnight will be at Houseboat. Kumarakom is located on the banks of the Vembanad Lake. Stay overnight in the Houseboat.
You will disembark the houseboat at the backwater resort at Alleppey. Alleppey is one of the major backwaters destinations in Kerala. Alleppey/Alappuzha is well known for its boat races, houseboats, fish, coir products and lakes. Overnight stay will be at Alleppey.
After breakfast you will proceed to Kochi. Upon reaching Kochi/Cochin you will spend the day shopping and in the evening go for Kathakali dance show. Kathakali is one of the classical dance forms of Kerala. Overnight stay will be at Kochi/Cochin.
After breakfast at hotel we will take you to the Shiva Temple and later our representative will transfer you to airport/railway for onward journey hotel.
